ANCIENT ROME
Visit the Colosseum, the largest Roman amphitheatre
built for the combats of the gladiators. Discover the Roman Forum,
the first public square of Rome where the Senate House, the basilicas
and the temples of the major gods were located. Reach the Capitole
hill: the sacred heart of the ancient Rome , nowadays seat of the
city hall. The square is one of the most spectacular works by Michelangelo!
End with Victor Emmanuel Monument celebrating the unification of
Italy, ironically nicknamed the 'wedding cake' or 'Mussolini's typewriter'.
